Who am I?
My name is Mayya, aka Mamati by my 3 year old daughter . She only calls me that when she is in a good mood
sweet isnt it?. I am a full time mum of 2 beautiful daughters aged 3 years and 9 months who take up most, if not all of my time.
I used to work full time from 8am to 6pm but was depressed as i didnt get to spend time with my daughters. So i decided to quit and stay at home with my family.
I am married to a wonderful man, a loving father. He is my best friend, the love of my life and after 5 and a half years of marriage we still enjoy each others company lol
Born to a french and Omani couple, i inhertied my love of craftiness from my grandmother, aunts and mum. In the south of France there isnt much to do especially the little town where my family comes from. I used to spend my summer cross stitching or learning how to hand sew. My addictiong to sewing started recently when i decided that i needed to make use of my time.
What am i blogging about? and why?
Staying home is wonderful but for someone like me i need something else to get me going. I recently discovered a passion for sewing, baking and interior design and i am determined to learn these skills to perfection! My goal is to start my own business and would love to do that by doing something i love.
My blog daily dose of me will serve as my learning guide as i share my journey to acquring these skills. I will also touch on various other topics such as parenting and housekeeping.
Where do i come from?
I come fromthe Middle East, Oman to be exact. It is officially called the Sultanate of Oman (i know you have never heard of it before!) Its just a 4 hour drive from Dubai (which i am sure you’ve heard of ).
Oman is an Arab Country in southwest Asia on the southeast coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It borders the United Arab Emirates on the northwest, Saudi Arabia on the west and Yemen on the southwest. (Information taken from Wikipedia)

How can i be contacted?
I can be reached via email umhadeel [at] gmail.com or by simply leaving me a comment!
I hope you will enjoy this blog as much as i do

[...] About [...]
hi! thank you for visiting my blog
I’m excited to see your sewing creations! how neat that we have so much in common! I just started sewing a couple months ago without any classes, but I have any guidance I need from my mother (who used to costume!) and sewing group (so I’m very lucky) not to mention Burdastyle
Have fun learning! It’s so addicting once you get started, but so worth it!
[...] About Me [...]
Thank you Mayya for introducing yourself and sharing your Omani heritage. It’s great to meet another mom who, like me, is starting a business. You are such an inspiration in that though we reside in different parts of the world, we are similar in that we both have a desire to stay home and raise our children and start a business.
Let’s definitely keep in touch and learn from each other!
Best Regards,
LeNesha
Thanks for coming by my site, I would love to see some of your creations.
When ever you have questions about how to make your home more cozy and comfortable —I would be happy to help. My site is a great resource or just e-mail me.
Warmest regards,

My husband has been to Dubai on business. He said it was very ritzy–fancy. Nice to get to know you better.

Yes Dubai is indeed known for the ritzy-fancy. Oman is not so fancy one will only be able to tell the difference when they visit.
